Nian Li received the B.S. and M.S. degrees in mathematics from Hubei Univesity, Wuhan, China, in 2006 and 2009 respectively, and received the Ph. D. degree in information security from Southwest Jiaotong University, Chengdu, China, in 2013.

From Sept. 2011 to Aug. 2013, he was a visiting Ph. D. student in the Department of Informatics, University of Bergen, Bergen, Norway. From Mar. 2014 to Aug. 2014, he was a postdoc in the Department of Mathematics, the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology, Clear Water Bay, Kowloon, Hong Kong. From Jan. 2015 to Jan. 2018, he was a researcher in the Department of Informatics, University of Bergen, Norway. Currently, he is working as an associate professor in the Faculty of Mathematics and Statistics, Hubei University, China.

Nian Li’s research interests include sequence design, coding theory, and cryptography.
