Enrico Piccione obtained a Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics in 2019 from the University of Padua (Italy). Then he obtained a Master degree in Mathematics with a specialization in Cryptography in 2021 from the University of Trento (Italy). The title of his Master’s thesis is “Design and Cryptanalysis of NIST Lightweight Stream Ciphers”. During his research for preparing the Master thesis, he specialized in symmetric cryptography and Boolean functions. Moreover, he is interested in cryptographic applications of Groebner Basis.
He joined the Boolean functions team as a PhD candidate in November 2021.
Currently, his research focuses on Threshold Implementations of Boolean functions, and constructions of almost perfect nonlinear (APN) functions.
