PhD Student
Niki Spithaki obtained a bachelor’s degree in mathematics (with specialization in algebra and number theory) in 2020 from the University of Crete (Greece), with a thesis titled “Class Number: Gauss’ conjecture”. She then obtained a master’s degree in mathematics in 2022 from the University of Crete (Greece), with a master thesis titled “Zeroes of Irreducible Characters of Finite Groups”. Her main interests involve group and field theory and applications to cryptography and coding theory.

She joined the Boolean Functions team as a PhD research fellow in September 2024. Her research focuses on applications of Boolean functions in cryptography, and constructions of almost perfect nonlinear (APN) functions.
